KKR boosts Japan team to spend largest-ever Asia fund

KKR has appointed a new managing director in its Tokyo office as it gets to work spending the $9.3bn it raised to back Asian companies last year.

Veteran dealmaker Kazuyuki Kido has joined KKR from Japanese financial services group Simplex Holdings, where he worked on leveraged buyouts, KKR said in a statement.
