Knight Vinke letter to HSBC

Eric Knight, chief executive of activist investment firm and HSBC shareholder Knight Vinke Asset Management, has written to the UK bank to complain about the compensation scheme for its executive directors. He also urges it to offload its troubled US consumer finance division HSBC Finance to avoid shareholders incurring further losses from sub-prime exposure.
