George Kountouris, a veteran of the property industry who most recently ran a firm backed by Sir Ronald Cohen and Lord Jacob Rothschild until its closure at the end of last year, has joined $7bn (€5.2bn) London hedge fund CQS.

Kountouris has joined CQS as a property specialist, according to a spokesman at the company.
