KPMG UK has been hit with £30m in fines over its audits of outsourcer Carillion before its collapse in 2018.

Carillion’s failure in 2018 was a major corporate scandal. The outsourcing and construction company had hundreds of public contracts, which included providing services to hospitals, schools and prisons, leaving the state scrambling to fill the gap when it went bust.
