Financier-turned-activist Bill Browder has hit out at the organisers of the World Economic Forum for more than tripling the entry fee to the annual extravaganza at Davos.

The CEO of Hermitage Capital, who stopped going to the elite gathering at the Swiss ski resort last year after 27 years, said the WEF has turned into "a corporate, money-making machine” as the cost of entry soared from $70,000 to $250,000 in 2022.
