Prosecutors are set to begin closing their case in the trial of Kweku Adoboli after the former UBS trader stepped down from the witness stand.

Adoboli had been giving evidence for eight days in his defence against criminal charges of fraud and false accounting in connection with a $2.3bn trading loss suffered by the bank in September last year.
