Life assurer Legal & General (L&G) will seek to gather investment funds by offering its stakeholder pension to 350,000 people whose employers are members of the Forum of Private Business (FPB).
Stan Mendham, founder and chairman of FPB, said: "With members having to offer stakeholder pensions by next October, I feel it is very important to help them through this difficult issue by providing them with access to a highly competitive stakeholder pension scheme."
