An insurance specialist at Redburn Partners, Europe’s largest independent equities broker and research provider, has quit to move to Autonomous Research, a swap which marks a rare departure by a Redburn analyst to a rival research firm.

Lance Burbidge, a partner at Redburn who covered insurance stocks including Prudential and Aviva, was registered as inactive on the UK Financial Services Register of authorised persons late last month.
