Larger firms to pay for FSA’s £50m budget hike

Investment banks are facing a significant increase in the fees they pay to the Financial Services Authority, the regulator revealed in its annual funding report today.

Yes, that's an increase, despite the fact that the FSA levied more than £80m in fines last year, more than enough to pay for a £50m increase in its budget.
