A coalition of investors worth $32tn is demanding that world leaders dump coal power and introduce carbon pricing, as they convene in Poland for the UN’s latest climate conference.

The group includes Amundi, Schroders, HSBC and some of the world’s largest pension funds and bills its initiative as “the largest ever intervention from investors on the issue of the climate”. It wants governments to pledge to eliminate all public subsidies for fossil-fuel producers.
