Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired the former co-head of European M&A at JPMorgan as the US investment bank attempts to climb back up the revenue league tables in the region.

BAML has named Larry Slaughter, who was most recently vice chairman of investment banking at Lazard, as an executive vice chairman, according to a memo seen by Financial News. The memo was sent from Christian Meissner, head of global corporate & investment banking at BAML.
