A deal reached in the last months of the transition period could not be implemented in time, IEA's Singham says

A last-minute Brexit deal could require a new “one or two-year” implementation period, trade advisers have warned.

Shanker Singham, the head of the International Trade and Competition Unit at think-tank the Institute of Economic Affairs, told the Telegraph that any Brexit agreement reached after early October would require additional “implementation periods and specific periods to cover ratification”.
