Lastminute.com acquires Degriftour for £58.9m

Lastminute.com has made its first acquisition, paying £58.9m (€97.2m) for French online retailer Degriftour, which has 50% market share in its home country.

The deal marks an important step for Lastminute.com, which has been building up its continental European business. Already, Lastminute.com has French, Swedish and German websites, as well as one for the UK.
