Latham & Watkins, one of the largest law firms in the US, has added 95 French lawyers to its practice through a merger with the Paris arm of Stibbe Simont Monahan Duhot, a Benelux law firm.
Joe Blum, managing parter of the London practice, said that the firm's latest European merger was a response from its banking and corporate clients to provide a global legal service as a "one-stop-shop" rather than looking to co-ordinate with firms outside the partnership.
