Law Society calls for crackdown on firms ‘burying unacceptable behaviour’ with NDAs

The solicitors' professional body has called on the government to tighten legislation around non-disclosure agreements, to prevent their misuse in silencing victims of workplace sexual harassment and bullying.

The legal framework and enforcement process for NDAs also needs improving, the Law Society of England and Wales said, to ensure NDAs “do not discourage matters of public interest such as some whistleblowing cases from being reported”.
