City firms are facing a compliance minefield as the UK government mulls expanding its sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

As Russian forces launched an incursion from multiple sides of Ukraine on 24 February, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said his government and its allies would hit back with a “massive package” of sanctions in a bid to ensure the invasion ends in economic failure.
