Law firms representing tens of thousands of investors trapped in Neil Woodford’s former flagship fund are considering their next steps after savers backed a £230m compensation arrangement — a move which could prevent legal action against the fund’s administrator.

Link Fund Solutions, which acted as the authorised corporate director for the now defunct Woodford Equity Income fund, announced on 14 December that the majority of investors who voted had backed a redress scheme.
