Lazard has hired Cary Martin, the retired deputy chairman of public relations firm Citigate Dewe Rogerson, to boost its European equity capital markets business.

Martin has advised governments in Europe on privatizations and initial public offerings. He worked with the UK government on the privatization of British Telecommunications, in Germany on the IPO of Deutsche Telekom and he has also worked with the Italian government.
