Alan Clifford has been lured from Legal & General, where he managed the Life UK Active Smaller Companies fund, to run Lazard Asset Management's UK Smaller Companies fund.

Lazard's UK Smaller Companies fund has an impressive track record. It is benchmarked against the Hoare Govett Smaller Companies Index, which it has outperformed by 32.67% on a five-year cumulative basis.
