Lazard has brought in William Buchanan to co-lead its corporate finance group alongside managing director Joseph Maybank. He will also replace Jonathan Biele as head of US equity capital markets amid a push by Lazard to grow the division.

Biele will move to the life sciences group where he will take up a senior banker role.
