One of Europe’s largest shareholder advisory companies has demanded a full explanation from the board of Credit Suisse after its chief executive was ousted in a boardroom battle.

Pirc, which advises pension funds and other institutional investors, has called on the Credit Suisse board to provide answers on the events surrounding Tidjane Thiam’s exit in time for the bank’s annual general meeting on 30 April.
