Legal & General Investment Management is extending its infrastructure funds business, which focuses mainly on debt, into equity.

Jonathan Ord, who led infrastructure investments for the Local Pensions Partnership, a £16bn tie-up between public sector schemes for London and Lancashire, has been recruited to lead the new operation, the company said in a statement on January 14.
