Lehman boosts financial institutions group with Mironesco hire

Lehman Brothers has hired Alexandre Mironesco as an executive director in the financial institutions group (FIG) in Paris, as part of a drive to boost the profile and size of the bank in France.

French FIG clients of Lehman include BNP Paribas, Axa and Crédit Lyonnais, and Guillaume d'Hauteville, chief executive of Lehman in France, said he plans to build the French investment banking business further by hiring more coverage bankers. Lehman currently has 75 professionals in Paris, and ranked 14th in the Thomson Financial French M&A league table last year.
