Lehman drops European airline and transport research

Lehman Brothers, the US investment bank, has ceased researching European airline and transport companies, citing a lack of investor interest in the sector and the low level market caps of the major players.

Nick Anderson, Lehman's senior airline analyst, will leave the transport team to join the 15-strong banks team, while Matthew Weston will move from transport to the pharmaceuticals team.
