Lehman Brothers has joined the stampede among US banks to hire experienced UK investment bankers, recruiting Credit Suisse First Boston's Anthony Fry to take on the new role as head of UK investment banking.

Fry, former head of European head of media and telecoms at CSFB, to help Lehman build its UK investment banking business. The banking veteran, who has almost three decades' experience in mergers and acquisitions, will join as a managing director and become a member of the bank's executive committee in Europe and chairman of media in the European investment banking division.
