Lehman hires Tutrone to manage private equity fund of funds

Lehman Brothers has hired Anthony Tutrone to run the firm's third-party fund investment group, which will consolidate the firm's fund investing activities and build its private equity franchise.

The new investment group will develop a fund of funds product targeting investors that only want limited exposure to private equity so cannot access top-tier private equity funds directly. Lehman pools capital from a number of co-investors in order to meet the minimum investment levels of the top funds.
