Lehman Brothers has hired a managing director from Citigroup to run its European chemicals group as the bank looks to expand its coverage across the region.

Nikolai Ahrens will take the new role at the bank, reporting to William Vereker, European head of natural resources and co-global head of power at Lehman Brothers.
