Levene quits Deutsche Börse truce team

Lord Levene last night dramatically quit the supervisory board of Deutsche Börse, leaving the German stock exchange operator with just two executives in charge of holding talks with its rebel shareholders.

He was one of three executives sitting on a special committee set up last week to try to thrash out a compromise with its dissident shareholders, which includes The Children's Investment Fund, a hedge fund.
