Glenda Levin is set to quit as investment manager at beleagured life assurance mutual Equitable Life, in order to join UBS Warburg as a sell-side analyst.

Levin is one of the few investment managers to quit Equitable in recent years. She has left following the firm's decision to close to new business following a court case which has produced high liabilities for its guaranteed annuity business.
