Sonja Laud, Legal & General Investment Management’s chief investment officer, and Michael Ballack, the former footballer, have three things in common. Only one of them is that they are both German.
In 2005, at the age of 31, Laud was named alongside the high-scoring football player as one of the six young Germans to watch in the coming year by the magazine Deutschland.
