More and more people are lying on their CVs and embellishing the truth to get ahead in their careers, according to new research by employee screening firm Risk Advisory.

But recruitment specialists in the City of London warn new rules governing staff in the UK's finance sector mean jobseekers here are more likely to be caught out.
