Liffe strikes £60m deal with US venture capitalists

US private equity partners Blackstone Group and Battery Ventures are together to take up to a 38% stake in Liffe, the London futures market.

Under the terms of the deal, the two companies will inject up to £60m (€94m) of new capital into Liffe in order to help the exchange exploit new opportunities in the e-commerce world.
