Cognotec, the foreign exchange trading systems firm, has appointed Patrick Lim, formerly manager of e-commerce at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, as director of business development in Asia.

Lim will be responsible for managing new and existing Cognotec clients in the region and will manage Cognotec's operations outside of Japan and Korea.
