The boss of the firm bidding for Link Group’s funds solutions arm says he hopes a deal will help the UK asset management industry “move past” the Neil Woodford scandal that has plagued it for almost four years.

Australia-headquartered Link Group announced last month that it is in exclusive talks with Dublin-based Waystone Group to acquire its entire UK-based fund solutions business, apart from any Woodford-related liabilities.
