When Aedamar Comiskey takes up her role as the first female senior partner in Linklaters’ 183-year history on 1 July, she will face the unenviable task of trying to drive changes in the partnership’s rigid pay structure.

Global corporate head Comiskey was the favourite in the race to succeed Charlie Jacobs as senior partner, and saw off competition from Milan finance partner Claudia Parzani and London corporate partner Sarah Wiggins to win the partner vote, the firm announced on 11 May.
