Top performing partners at Linklaters are set to take home more than £4m this year following a shake-up of the Magic Circle law firm’s lockstep pay structure.

The firm announced in December that its partners had voted through changes to better reward partners “who make an exceptional contribution”, marking a shift away from the current structure that rewards partners based on the number of years they have worked, regardless of how much business they bring into the firm.
