Liontrust assets to reach £1.7bn

Liontrust, the UK-listed fund management firm, posted a 5% rise in assets under management to £1.57bn (€2.52bn) in the 12 months to September 2001, and is set to hit £1.7bn when further accounts have completed transition.

The firm, which focuses solely on managing UK equities, saw core operating profits rise 8% to £1.4m. It has picked up eight new mandates from UK pension funds, winning £290m in new business.
