Assets at Liontrust Asset Management has hit £3.4 billion, a level last reached just before the departure of two star fund managers in 2009, and the UK boutique is continuing to look for opportunistic acquisitions.

Assets under management grew 13% between April 1 and September 24, according to Liontrust's latest trading update published today.
