Liontrust Asset Management is in talks to acquire Neptune Investment Management, the Hammersmith-based fund manager established by City veteran Robin Geffen.

A statement published on the London Stock Exchange on July 29 followed a report in the Sunday Times about a potential tie-up between the two companies.
