Liquidnet has bought a firm known for developing a machine-learning system that is used to predict how press releases and earnings calls by central banks and companies will affect asset prices.
The trading network for asset managers said on June 5 that it has acquired Prattle, which was founded in 2014, to expand the analytics it can provide to its network of more than 1,000 institutional investors. Prattle’s analytics cover 3,000 publicly traded companies and 15 central banks. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
