Liquidnet hires tech head to help fund managers crunch data

Liquidnet, an operator of venues for trading shares anonymously, has hired a new technology chief ahead of incoming regulations that will greatly increase the amount of data that fund managers need to comb through.

Patrick Strobel has joined Liquidnet to build its IT systems and, in particular, a new data analytics tool in Europe, the Middle East and Africa — one of the fastest-growing regions for the firm— according to a statement.
