Liquidnet is stepping up a drive to sell trading services to European hedge funds, with the hire of a former RBC and Citi banker as a sales director.

The dark pool operator, which helps institutional investors to trade larger blocks of shares, said on February 1 that it has hired Dan Squires to expand Liquidnet's reach among hedge funds.
