Insurance marketplace Lloyd’s of London has appointment a US market development director.

Uwe Schoberth, who has three decades of experience in the sector under his belt, joins Lloyd’s from BlackBoard Insurance, a subsidiary of AIG, according to a 14 September statement. The newly created role will focus on “expanding strategic relationships with retail, wholesale and reinsurance brokers” in the US, Lloyd's largest market.
