The London Metal Exchange has banned its traders from drinking during office hours as part of broader efforts to change the culture at one of the City’s oldest institutions.

The 142-year-old exchange said on Friday 14 June that all those working on its open-outcry trading floor, known as the Ring, would be subject to the ban.
