Two London fintech companies have raised $60m between them from a range of investors, including Japanese technology conglomerate SoftBank and venture capital outfit Dawn Capital, a sign that interest in the sector remains keen following a record year for fundraising in 2018.
Onfido, which makes identity verification software, said on April 2 it had closed a $50m fundraising round, with commitments from SoftBank and Salesforce Ventures, the investment arm of the cloud computing company.
