London gains first Chilean listing

Banco de Chile has become the first Chilean company to list on the London Stock Exchange and the first company to take advantage of a simplified listing process.

The procedure allows US-listed companies to use their 20-F filing there as the basis for a UK prospectus. Market participants estimate that the simplified process reduces the cost of a secondary listing in London by about 70%.
