Make markets simpler to cure London’s listings drought, says Aquis chief

Exchange boss puts the dearth of City floats down to a host of factors, including ease of access

UK capital markets are too complex for retailer investors, hurting equities in the City, according to Alasdair Haynes, chief executive of Aquis Exchange.

“It is not a question of the retail investor not wanting to participate, but one where the market is structurally complex,” Haynes told Financial News.
