The Mayor of London has commissioned independent analysis on the impact that Brexit could have on the city's financial and professional services sector, as part of a look at the effects of the UK's exit from the EU on different parts of the economy.
Sadiq Khan has asked Cambridge Econometrics to look at what different types of exit deal will mean for Londoners' jobs and prosperity in nine sectors. The findings will be published next month and will be used to form a plan to mitigate the worst impacts of Brexit on the capital's economy, which will be put to the government, according to a statement today.
