London Metal Exchange hires LCH London risk chief

The hire marks a further coup in the bourse’s plans to self-clear, which will see the LME terminate its existing arrangement with LCH.Clearnet

The London Metal Exchange has hired LCH.Clearnet's London head of risk, marking a further coup in the bourse’s drive towards self-clearing.

Chris Jones, the long-serving head of risk at LCH's London arm, LCH.Clearnet Ltd, will depart to take up an equivalent role at LME Clear in early 2013, the bourse announced this morning.
