UK real estate did not escape the fall in sentiment when the UK voted to leave the European Union. Fearing the withdrawal of cash, several retail real estate funds were immediately suspended.

Expectations for London’s office market were quickly revised downwards. Consensus Forecasts compiled by the Investment Property Forum showed the industry was pricing in a 15% drop in office values over 2016-18 in the City, and a 13% correction in the West End.
